Yoga flow / basics

Curious what might happen in one of our yoga flow / yoga basics class? We created this class because many times when Haeli says she's a yoga teacher people often come back with "I"m bad at yoga" or "I'm not flexible" or "I can't do yoga" or "I've always wanted to try but not sure where to start". If you find yourself saying this out loud or to yourself, this class is definitely for you.

You are not bad at yoga. Yoga can be hard but not because you're not flexible or bad at it, it's usually because you've never been taught the real basics of yoga. Yoga basics is important to lay the groundwork for your yoga practice and body movement healing process. In this class, you'll learn more about the "why" of yoga and the basic techniques. You'll learn that you cannot be bad at yoga. Yoga might be hard for you but it can be hard for even the experts.

You do not need to be flexible to do yoga. If you aren't flexible, yoga can help with that. But this is a common myth that you people that do yoga are flexible. Let's ditch this and learn the basics of what yoga is and how to do it without being flexible!

Here's a sneak peak of some common moves that you could do in a yoga flow / basics class.

Yoga is in nature healing. In our flow class we'll focus on the healing aspects of yoga too. If you're consistent in your yoga practice you'll find an improvement in your emotional well-being, stress reduction and inner balance. Yoga is helpful for mental struggles with anxiety, depression, PTSD or simply a therapeutic outlet. This comes through integrating your body movement, breath and mindfulness. In a yoga flow, we'll explore meditation techniques, visualization exercises and relaxations methods to promote healing and self compassion.
